Senior .NET Developer
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Job Type: Permanent | Full Time | Hybrid (One day per week)
Salary: €85,000 + 10% Bonus
About the Role
An established technology and supply-chain solutions provider is seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join a small, agile engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to build secure, scalable applications used across logistics, distribution, and ecommerce operations.
You will work across the stack on web, desktop, and cloud solutions, contributing to system design, development, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on technical role with real impact across core business platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop modern .NET and C# applications (web and desktop)
- Build and maintain secure, scalable solutions in Azure
- Take part in architecture discussions, technical design, and specification reviews
- Write automated tests and ensure high-quality delivery before QA cycles
- Participate in peer code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to sprint planning with accurate effort estimates
- Provide occasional Level 2 application support
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years commercial software development experience
- Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, LINQ, Entity Framework
- Front-end experience with Angular (2+)
- Strong knowledge of Azure services (App Services, Functions, Identity, Key Vault, etc.)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs (JSON, XML)
- SQL Server or similar relational database experience
- CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Git/TFS source control experience
- Understanding of secure development practices (OWASP)
- Experience with performance optimisation and monitoring
Desirable Skills
- Experience in logistics, distribution, or ecommerce domains
- Multi-tenant web application experience
- Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Bicep)
- Familiarity with Redis or similar caching frameworks
- Messaging technology experience (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, etc.)
